Meals on Wheels Kagiso Love in Action feeding 135 children .
Kagiso Love in Action has had to cut its school feeding from three times to only twice a week. “Sadly everything costs more,” says branch manager, Lindiwe Ngubeni. “We prepare full meals for 135 children at Mandisa Shiceka Secondary School (Ex Reatile) in Kagiso.”
Six people work on the project and they cook full meals and then take them via taxi to the school.
The ladies of the scheme use their own equipment to cook the food, and work without a fridge. Despite this, they manage to give the children at least two hearty meals a week.
By the way - the lovely photo that is the profile picture on the MOW Facebook page is taken at the Kagiso school feeding scheme!
