Work and charity collide...

In my work in the inner city I come across many really sad stories, so many stories of complete triumph over adversity and little children always have the propensity to bounce back given the chance. I was really privileged and blessed to be able to assist this little creche with 2 tons of food. I found this community creche in one of the squatter camps found in the inner city. New George Goch hostel is one of  3 the notoriously dangerous mens hostels found in the inner city. Women and children fall victim to the violences and poverty both within the hostel and in the surrounding informal settlements that have sprung up in the hope of a better life.

The colours in this picture and the reflections really caught my eye!!

unexpected beauty

a colorful tuck shop serving its community!
the block of long drop toilets that the community have to walk to - not really that safe at night!
