Eden Traders Orphanage 2014

Edan Traders (PTY) Ltd  Muldersdrift                                        Orphanage.                                                           

The owners, management and staff have set up an orphanage on one of their properties to house 8 little orphans. 

    
Furniture has been placed in some of the bedrooms.  It is still a work in progress but so far several containers have been donated, painted. An office, bedrooms, a shower and toilet have all been renovated and painted.  
 An awesome "gypsy" wagon container has been set up as a kitchen. 
 A large community garden is been worked and tyres will be arriving soon to start potato towers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          There are several young girls in the community who will be assisted with short courses in order to become more employable or start their own enterprises.  
It is really wonderful to see a business care for its immediate community in such a way.                                                                                                                                                                                          I am thrilled to be able to assist in this project something close to my heart and Eden Traders and my foundation Team Zodwa have almost a decade long relationship and they have sponsored some of my projects in the past.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    This is really special to be able to support their own initiatives.  Thank you Eddie for showing me around.                                                                                                                                                             Big High five to Edan traders - to Zeno, Eddie, Porshia, Lizzy who heads up the project. The mountains are alive with...chocolate!

  My family recently spent a week at Monk's Cowl camping site, deep in the Drakensberg mountains, and we were blessed to be able to hike every day. We have passed this little spot nestled within the 'Valley", as the locals refer to the area, a couple of times, but never went inside. Today we finally did and what a little bustling area, in the middle of the sticks, supported by both tourists and locals alike.  Beautifully wrapped up chocolate slabs in dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. According to the lady behind the counter, who gave us all a detailed description, the white chocolate has a hint of caramel and vanilla bourbon. I love caramel so this was an instant hit with me, and found it sweet and could definitely taste the vanilla bourbon. Next was the dark chocolate, my daughter and husband's favourite chocolate. Russian Adventure: St Basil's cathedral - Red Square

copyright Kim Williams This was a dream come true to be standing in front of the this huge gingerbread house that I had wondered about my entire life. As a little girl I had dreamed and wished that I would be able to see this incredible building before I die and here I was standing in front of this incredible church.   So much myth and legend has followed this breathtaking building and its surprising that little seems to be known about this church.
