Greece 2014 Adventure Day 9: Argostoli & Athens

Monday morning and it was time to pack and a quick visit to Argostoli. Went went downstairs to have our awesome breakfast.

we came across St Nicolas a Catholic church.  It is really beautiful. It was really special to be able to go in and light a candle for my children and for our safe return to South Africa.

we then left to go to Kefalonia's International airport to fly to Athens for our adventure to continue. We arrived at te Eleftherios Venizelos Athens International Airport, this is the primary entry into Athens situated 33km east of Athens. We had a taxi already arranged by Pentravel.

We got to our hotel to a welcome hot shower and comfortable beds and soft pillows. Aeros hotel. Trip Advisor. http://areos-hotel.hotelapp.me/
Within this city you will discover a plethora of interesting activities, famous sites and tour opportunities or you can simply grab an information brochure and which are freely available and walk your feet off on your own.
we were booked into the Areos hotel. It was very comfortable and the hotel staff are very helpful.

We then discovered a local restaurant which had the most awesome tasting food. It was really great to be outside in the busy street and watching the locals coming back from work and walking their dogs at 22h00 at night!!

it was off to bed to an early start as we were off to see the ruins. I was so excited and Athens was on my bucket list and I love old buildings, archaeology and history so I was about to have the experience of my life!!
