TALK: Cygnet Pre-Primary

One of the parents from the Cygnet Pre-Primary school in Bedfordview contacted me after taking my details in 2010 while I was cooking and selling chicken kebabs at the Rosebank open top market to raise funds for our climbing fund and 4 years later he asked if I would come and chat to the little ones about mountains and in particular Mt Kilimanjaro. They were so cute and they actually sat for 45 minutes without moving!! the teachers were so impressed I only had one child drop off to sleep LOL.

Once the talk was finished we moved the kiddies outside where we had set up a "mountain camp" for the kiddies and a show and tell session ensured!!

The children and the teachers all said that they loved the talk and I was even invited for tea and cake afterwards.  The school had also organised donated toys and my Suzuki Jimny 4X4 was filled to capacity with toys and baby cloths which I took to Vicky Sepp (care giver Meals on Wheels SA) working with the Moffat View projects.
