MEDIA:Mnet Carte Blanche Team Zodwa story



I have been blessed to have been able to have had both myself and Team Zodwa featured on Mnet's Carte Blanche programme three times over the years.


In this documentary the Carte Blanche production team from TimeFrame/Backyard Productions https://www.facebook.com/groups/117451638394409/created a story around female paramedics and firefighters who work as reservists for the City of Johannesburg Fire department and how Team Zodwa came about and the work we do.

Odette Schwegler, her film crew and Derek Watts followed me for two weeks.they came to my practice where at the time I was a Sports & Rehabilitation Therapist and a Reservist for the City of Johannesburg Fire Department. They also spent time with my husband and three children, interviewing them and filming us going about our day.
 

they then came along while I was working on the fire engine and filmed and interviewed my crews.  It was a fun 2 weeks and Odette and her team at Time Frame really produced a great documentary that I was really proud of.

 

 

 





the 2 week period was ended off by spending the night dancing away at Fashion Cafe at the Micheal Angelo hotel with the film crew and our host Derek Watts the anchor presenter at Carte Blanche. It was a great evening as we could bring our partners along.

The mountains are alive with...chocolate!

  My family recently spent a week at Monk's Cowl camping site, deep in the Drakensberg mountains, and we were blessed to be able to hike every day. We have passed this little spot nestled within the 'Valley", as the locals refer to the area, a couple of times, but never went inside. Today we finally did and what a little bustling area, in the middle of the sticks, supported by both tourists and locals alike.  Beautifully wrapped up chocolate slabs in dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. According to the lady behind the counter, who gave us all a detailed description, the white chocolate has a hint of caramel and vanilla bourbon. I love caramel so this was an instant hit with me, and found it sweet and could definitely taste the vanilla bourbon. Next was the dark chocolate, my daughter and husband's favourite chocolate. Russian Adventure: St Basil's cathedral - Red Square

As a little girl I had dreamed and wished that I would be able to see this incredible building before I die and here I was standing in front of this incredible church.   So much myth and legend has followed this breathtaking building and its surprising that little seems to be known about this church.
