Masimanyane gets R100 00-00 donation from my Adventure with a purpose

My Team Zodwa Adventure with a Purpose donates a handsome cheque of R100 000-00 to founder Lesley ann Foster founder of Masimanyane Women and Child centre. Lesley Anne was able to use this to build a support centre for women in the East Cape area. This helps women who have been abused or suffered trauma.

 



The women from this centre also make the most beautiful crafts and items for safe to help with the running and upkeep of the centre. I was lucky enough to be given this gorgeous bag as a gift!!

I was invited to East London to met Lesley Anne and her team in person. I was picked up by Lesley and went to meet her team at their stunning offices and old home that has been beautifully restored. Then we were off to the celebration in one of the townships in East London where I was one of the guests of honour!!!
 for me the kiddies are always the stars. These little were so endearing - the little girl with the long hair just melted my heart - so is so beautiful.!!

the event was the launch of the start of 10 days of activism against Abuse agains women and children. I was very blessed and privileged to be part of this.

The mountains are alive with...chocolate!

  My family recently spent a week at Monk's Cowl camping site, deep in the Drakensberg mountains, and we were blessed to be able to hike every day. We have passed this little spot nestled within the 'Valley", as the locals refer to the area, a couple of times, but never went inside. Today we finally did and what a little bustling area, in the middle of the sticks, supported by both tourists and locals alike.  Beautifully wrapped up chocolate slabs in dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. According to the lady behind the counter, who gave us all a detailed description, the white chocolate has a hint of caramel and vanilla bourbon. I love caramel so this was an instant hit with me, and found it sweet and could definitely taste the vanilla bourbon. Next was the dark chocolate, my daughter and husband's favourite chocolate. Russian Adventure: St Basil's cathedral - Red Square

As a little girl I had dreamed and wished that I would be able to see this incredible building before I die and here I was standing in front of this incredible church.   So much myth and legend has followed this breathtaking building and its surprising that little seems to be known about this church.
