Rating the Trails with my Jimny and boys: Henops river 22km hike

Henops river Hike
On Sunday I meet up with the girls from Team Adrenaline it had been a while since I had got together with them, we did the Sunflower Fund Stairs of Hope challenge in December at the Westcliff Stairs.

A beautiful sunrise
Erica climbing up the tyre ladder guarded
by her awesome doggies
sunrise from my Jimny

The views are spectacular

the river crossing are really stunning and the suspension bridge was really cool!!

The rock formations along the way are quiet spectacular and very unusual with a lot of different colours and patterns
The suspension bridge with Erica and her faithful little doggies walking across.

It was very cold when we first started and luckily it warmed up much later.

Ice still cover the wooden suspension bridge

The Views are stunning and I can't wait to hike when spring arrives and see all the aloes, proteas and wild flowers in full bloom.

Saray and I - we both lost items along the way so the two of us decided to hike the trail backwards and ended up hiking 22 km - lots of laughs along the way and after been somewhat nervous of the pulley chair I ended up riding on it 3 times that day!!

the strange rock formations

After the hike the ladies had arranged coffee, hot chocolate and some yummies while we looked at Saray's photographs and her chilling account of what her and Sibu went through after the Avalanche that claimed 19 lives on Mt Everest.
