things have been super crazy while training and organising the 9 Peaks challenge.  Each day this event becomes bigger with so many different angles and possibilities.
between Meals on Wheels and the team we agreed on this logo - this will be our official 9 Peaks Challenge logo for all our charity events on the peaks.  Our them "Adventure with a purpose" is truly just that. check out our face book page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nine-Peaks/376354472504447 to see all the adventure as it unfolds.

how cool is this logo especially the pink hiker!!

we have been truly blessed with a ladies team of 4 pink ladies - myself, Irene, Sane and Pamela. we have been nicknamed "Team Pink" and as it happened we now have a men's team "Team Blue" with Sean, Kobus, Rene and my 15 year old son Jordan, who will be the youngest to do this event. Jordan has also been chosen to be the Youth Brand Ambassador for Meals on Wheels and will be carrying their flag from peak to peak!!

                                                                                                Jordan Williams

Gershon and Jordan
We have been so blessed to have been sponsored by Land Rover Pietermaritzburg and Peugeot Pinetown. they have supplied 2 Landies and 2 Peugeots so we can all travel and sleep in style!! the most exciting thing is that the vehicles are going to be wrapped in shocking pink!!  I cannot wait to see the boys faces when they see the cars and have to climb in them!!! PRICELESS!!!
Jordan the Landie Man!!
Jordan of course is very unhappy that at 15 yrs old he will not be able to drive them - but this did not stop him and Gershon from Meals on Wheels from sitting in the drivers seat and pretending to drive for the photos!!

The meetings have increased to weekly with heaps to talk about and arrange - has been difficult to pin down the whole team all the time so hundreds of emails back and forth - at this rate we all need a private secretary!!

Lots of radio interviews set up and many already completed, the sms line up and nine peaks face book page up and Team Zodwa webpage being updated, sponsors coming in........

There has been enormous interest in our Adventure with a purpose 9 peaks Challenge - who would have thought! But it seems so many South Africans thirst for a doable adventure on their doorstep. My vision for the 9 Peaks is a simple one: this is an adventure with a purpose that all South Africans regardless of fitness levels, size or shape can take part in as individuals or as teams to explore our beautiful country and majestic mountains - this is an adventure for all in an Amazing Race South African Style!!
